Which dashcam cameras are supported?

Dashcam Export supports Tesla, VIOFO, BlackVue, Kenwood, firmware-verified 70mai, and generic timestamp-based formats. Vueroid support is experimental and verified only at stream level. Tesla GPS is beta; Kenwood GPS is unavailable.

Is my dashcam footage private?

All video processing happens locally on your Mac, and Dashcam Export does not upload footage. Your footage stays on your Mac unless you explicitly export or save it. Saving to Photos can sync it through iCloud when iCloud Photos is enabled.

Dashcam Export requires macOS 15 Sequoia or later, and an Apple Silicon or Intel Mac with Metal support. The app uses GPU acceleration via Apple Metal for efficient 4K processing.

Yes. You can export a single angle, multiple angles in various multiplex configurations, or all angles as separate videos at once.

It depends on your hardware and export settings. Original quality exports are fastest since they don't re-encode. Multiplex exports with re-encoding take longer but are still GPU-accelerated for speed.
